Group Accountant

Othongathi Investments is seeking a skilled and analytical Group Accountant to support group-wide financial reporting, compliance, and performance analysis.

Job Responsibilities

• Contribute to the Group financial performance, analysis, and reporting functions
• Prepare and support annual financial statements, management accounts, board and Exco reporting
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and statutory requirements
• Oversee month-end close processes and maintain general ledger integrity
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
• Handle audit, tax, CIPC, and vendor-related matters

• Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial systems proficiency
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability
• Clear and professional stakeholder communication skills
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Audit
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in an accountant role
• Working knowledge of IFRS
• Professional registration or completed articles will be advantageous
